Blue Dolphin Pools repairs and replaces pool pumps and motors, filters of all types, and salt chlorine generators, and also performs acid washing, tile cleaning and new equipment installation for inground pools in Tucson. Replastering is the one service we do not offer.
If your pump is loud, leaking, losing prime, tripping the breaker or not starting at all, we diagnose the real cause instead of defaulting to a full replacement. Sometimes it is a seal, a capacitor or an air leak on the suction side. When the pump genuinely needs to be replaced, we size the new unit to your pool volume, plumbing and budget, and install it properly so it is not the source of your next problem.
We service and replace cartridge, DE and sand filters. A filter that is past its service life makes everything else work harder: the pump strains, chemistry gets unstable and the water never fully clears. We will tell you whether a clean, a new element or a full replacement is the right call.
Salt chlorine generators need more attention than most owners realize. We troubleshoot low output, error codes, flow sensor faults and scaled cells, and we replace cells and control boards when that is what the situation calls for. We also install new salt systems on existing chlorine pools, which is a conversion, not a rebuild.
Acid washing is a deep surface reset. When plaster has embedded algae staining, mineral discoloration or years of buildup that brushing and chemistry cannot lift, a properly performed acid wash removes a microscopic layer of the surface and brings the finish back. It is not something to do casually or often, and we will tell you honestly whether your pool is actually a candidate.
Tucson's hard water leaves calcium and scale along the waterline. We remove that buildup without damaging tile or grout, which is the part inexperienced operators most often get wrong.
Filter systems, pumps and salt systems installed from scratch, sized correctly and plumbed cleanly. We photograph the finished equipment pad so you can see exactly what was installed.

Repair usually makes sense when the pump is under roughly eight years old and the failure is a seal, capacitor, o-ring or bearing issue. Replacement usually makes sense when the motor has failed on an older pump, when repair costs approach half of replacement or when the pump is an older single-speed unit that is expensive to run.

Catching any of these early is almost always cheaper than waiting. If you are on our weekly pool service, we flag these during routine visits before they strand you.
We do not replaster pools, and we do not take on above-ground pools. If replastering is genuinely what your pool needs, we will say so directly rather than selling you an acid wash that will not solve it.
